I'd read something abou...Thanks for this post. I'd read something about this awhile ago and it's good to be reminded of it ~ the utter hubris of the man. And the odd blindness of the Pope to have recognized the destructiveness of this plan, and yet not able to see the same (or bigger) problem with creating a new Mass. <br /><br />I know it's not quite the same thing but I feel a similar astonishment at Pope John Paul II's novelty of the luminous mysteries. Ugh. Most (if not all) Novus Ordo Catholics that I know who pray the Rosary believe that the Pope officially "changed the Rosary" (and find it a good thing); therefore, if you're not on board and joining in with the Thursday Luminous Mysteries, you're somehow a heretic or something. <br /><br />I know it's not as bad as what Bugnini wanted to do but it reminds me of the similar let's-change-all-those-old-traditions mentality. <br /><br />Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08481730297658525937noreply@blogger.com
